David McElroy is a native of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. A lawyer by profession, he has been practicing law for almost two decades; eight years of which he lived and worked in the United Kingdom. While in the UK, David began his silversmith training. He developed a love of working in sterling silver and particularly traditional Native and European repoussé techniques. He also integrates semi-precious stones in designs that are unique, classic pieces.
David’s goal for each piece is to create a timeless design that inspires and deserves to be a lasting part of his customers' collections.
In addition to jewelry, at his studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, David also creates accessories including boxes, dishes, candlesticks as well as many other items.
David exhibits at galleries in the Santa Fe area, as well as art shows such as the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market in Phoenix, Arizona and the Santa Fe Indian Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
David is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
